Good question! It's a part from medieval history that I like the most with food, music and arts. The medieval clothing allows to understand many things. Initially, it makes possible to distinguish, by fabric, which type of class the people belongs (example: velvet with the royal class). Then, by the dress, we can know which type of profession made the people (example: the knight). Lastly, like today, the fashion has to evolve according to time but also of manners and habits of the regions.
I'm not historian and it's just my opinion about this. I maded this fanlisting because I'm a fan of medieval costume and I think that I'm not alone.
